LVPOA NOW HIRING

LVPOA Administrative Clerk:  Full-time position w/benefits.  Mon.- Fri., 8 am to 5 pm plus occasional weekend hours during the summer. Position requires great communication skills, attention to detail, organizational/filing skills, great listening/comprehension skills, basic office and computer skills including Excel, research skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office. LVPOA Park Ranger:  Part time position without benefits.  Position requires customer service and rules enforcement experience.  A clean driving record is a must.  Hours will be in the evenings and on weekends.  If you are interested in the position, please email your resume and/or questions to gregg@lvpoa.org .
LVPOA Ranger Manager: Manager position with benefits.  Position requires a minimum of 4 years manager experience.  Job duties include supervising a staff of part time employees; evaluating, recommending and enforcing park and facility rules of use; providing assistance to members using parks and facilities; overseeing written and verbal communication with members regarding rule violations; overseeing campground reservations, check-in and check-out; preparing incident documentation; scheduling patrol of all parks and facilities, and providing staff training.  Applicants must have good verbal and written communication skills, good customer service skills, moderate computer skills, the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and a clean driving record.  Experience with security systems, including gate operations and security cameras, is a plus.  Interested qualified applicants should email their resume to Gregg@lvpoa.org, drop it by our office at 20503 Dawn Drive Lago Vista, Texas, or mail it to P.O. NEW POLICY REGARDING GUEST PASSES TO GO INTO EFFECT JULY 17TH

The growth in local members together with the condition of the lake has resulted in a huge increased the use of our parks.  Our facilities are for the use of our members, and the number of guests being brought into our parks by some members are interfering with the enjoyment of the parks by our members.  We have recently had many member complaints about the number of non-member guests in our parks, and are implementing new procedures to protect the interest of our members while still allowing them to enjoy the facilities with a reasonable number of family members and friends.   

 

Effective July 17, 2017 we will issue a maximum of two vehicle guest passes per OW or RT number for any day, with a limit of six guests per vehicle guest pass.  Vehicle guest passes should be obtained before entering the park with your guests and  may be picked up at the office during regular office hours or by calling the LVPOA Park Ranger at 512 921-8552 evenings and weekends.  Also effective July 17, 2017 the member or tenant of record must request the guest pass.  We will no longer allow others within the member or tenant of record’s household to request a guest pass.  We will have a process for a member or tenant of record to complete a form giving a member of their household express permission to request a guest pass.  This form will be available on our web site by July 14th.

 

Any member who is planning an activity that would require more than the two vehicle guest passes should contact the office to complete an exception request.  Exception requests must be submitted a minimum of 14 days prior to the day for which the passes are requested.  The exception request form will also be available on our web site by July 14th. 

 

Members reserving a pavilion will be governed by the rules regarding pavilion reservations, and will be allowed guest passes equal to 50% of the stated capacity of the pavilion for use during the time of their pavilion reservation.  We will also begin enforcing the stated pavilion capacity.

CODY PARK PAVING PROJECT NOW COMPLETE

MARINA PARK, BAR-K, CODY AND EMERALD BOAT RAMPS NOW OPEN

Water levels vary between boat ramps.  Members are responsible for accessing the suitability of the ramp for launch of their water craft.  Cody ramp may still be too shallow for many boats to launch.

DISC GOLF COURSE 

The Disc Golf Course at Arrowhead Park is now open.  This is a 9 hole course with 9 designated tee boxes.
